UI/UX Designer

We are an industry leader in remote monitoring IoT solutions for cathodic protection (CP) and corrosion risk management, and emerging market verticals such as water and gas pressure and flow applications. Role Overview

We are seeking a UI/UX Designer to join our Product Management team and play a central role in shaping the user experience across our software portfolio. This role will begin with a primary focus on our Corrosion Prevention market, supporting both new software project build-out and work to enhance our existing applications, and also helping shape how AI-centric products will be delivered to our customer base. Over time, the scope will expand across additional products in our portfolio including water and gas pressure management applications.

You will work closely with product managers, the software team, and our customers to design customer-centered features, enhancements, and new product capabilities. A core mandate of this role is direct engagement with customers and the broader markets that we serve to ensure real-world workflows, operational constraints, and pain points are foundational inputs into how our platforms work and evolve in the future.

This position is suited to a designer with 3 to 5 years of experience who brings strong UX fundamentals and a forward-looking approach to AI-assisted design tools and AI-enabled product experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Customer-Centered Product Design

• Translate customer research, field insights, and product requirements into intuitive user experiences.
• Lead user journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing for new features and enhancements.
• Ensure customer pain points are clearly defined and embedded in interface and workflow decisions.
• Advocate for usability, accessibility, and clarity across all software touchpoints.

Market and User Understanding

• Engage directly with customers through interviews, ride-alongs, workshops, and feedback sessions to understand field workflows and operational realities.
• Map end-to-end user workflows, friction points, and decision moments within corrosion prevention and asset management environments.
• Partner with Product Managers to synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights into clear design requirements.
• Analyze product usage data and customer feedback to identify experience gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Ensure designs reflect real-world industrial environments rather than abstract feature assumptions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner closely with Product Managers to define feature requirements and user stories.
• Work with engineering teams to ensure designs are technically feasible and accurately implemented.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release discussions to maintain design continuity.
• Contribute to design documentation and UI standards to support consistency across platforms.

AI-Enabled Design and Feature Development

• Apply AI-assisted design tools to accelerate ideation, prototyping, and design iteration.
• Contribute to the design of AI-enabled product features including analytics visualizations, predictive insights, and workflow automation interfaces.
• Help define how AI-driven outputs are presented in ways that are clear, trustworthy, and actionable for industrial users.
• Stay informed on emerging AI design tools and methods that can improve design quality and speed.

Platform Evolution and Design Systems

• Support the development and maintenance of a scalable design system for CorInsights, CorView, and future platforms ensuring that it is scalable, well-documented, and developer friendly.
• Ensure visual and interaction consistency across modules and product lines.
• Contribute to long-term UX direction as products expand into new markets and verticals.

Qualifications and Skills

Required

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in UI/UX design for software products, preferably SaaS or data-driven platforms.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design process including research, workflow mapping, wireframes, prototypes, and shipped features.
• Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma or similar platforms.
• Experience conducting user interviews and usability testing.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional product, engineering, and commercial teams.
• Strong communication skills and ability to articulate design rationale clearly.
• Exposure to AI-assisted design tools or workflows.

Preferred

• Experience designing for industrial, infrastructure, IoT, or data-intensive applications.
• Experience designing AI-enabled features such as analytics dashboards, predictive alerts, or decision-support tools.
• Familiarity with responsive and cross-platform design standards.
• Understanding of accessibility best practices.
