Senior Product Manager, Shopping Experience
Our Mission
ModeSens is the intelligent purchase assistant defining the future of shopping. We’re on a mission to empower every consumer to shop smarter - saving time, money, and effort through a seamless, all-in-one experience.
About the role
- We’re hiring a Senior Product Manager to own our core shopping tools experience - everything that helps visitors quickly find the right item, feel confident about price and store choice, and come back to ModeSens before they buy.
- You’ll be the end-to-end PM for our shopping experience product area (web, app, and browser extension), focused on growth across the entire funnel: from anonymous visitor → activation → repeat use and habit. You’ll be an experimentation engine for this surface, partnering closely with Design, Engineering, Data, and Marketing to ship A/B tests and product improvements that grow user engagement and business impact, while maintaining or improving click-to-merchant and downstream ecommerce performance.
- You’ll own the end-to-end shopping experience across web, app, and browser extension, with a clear mandate to drive growth across the funnel - from first-time visitors to repeat, loyal users. You’ll be an experimentation engine for this surface, partnering closely with Design, Engineering, Data, and Marketing to ship A/B tests and product improvements that grow user engagement and business impact.
- This role reports directly to the Head of Product and will work closely with our CEO on high-leverage growth opportunities.
What you’ll do
- Own the product roadmap for ModeSens’ shopping experience across web, app, and browser extension.
- Define and drive an experimentation strategy across the funnel - landing, search, onboarding, engagement (e.g. wishlist, alerts), and re-engagement - to increase activation and retention.
- Partner with Data to deeply understand user behavior and funnel performance; use insights to prioritize the highest-impact problems and opportunities.
- Design and run high-quality A/B tests: form clear hypotheses, define success metrics, partner with Data on analysis, and translate learnings into concrete product decisions.
- Collaborate closely with Design and Engineering to deliver simple and intuitive shopping flows that help users find items quickly and feel informed about price, discounts, and store options to make confident purchase decisions.
- Work with Product Marketing to ensure product and messaging work together to bring users back and build habits.
- Balance user growth and engagement outcomes with ecommerce outcomes like purchase conversion and downstream revenue; make thoughtful trade-offs when there are tensions.
- Communicate priorities, decisions, and results clearly to stakeholders, including execs - telling a crisp story from data to insight to action.
What we’re looking for
- 4 - 6+ years of product management experience, including meaningful ownership of
consumer-facing
products.
- Hands-on experience driving
growth
for consumer products (e.g. activation, engagement, retention), ideally through structured experimentation.
- Strong A/B testing instincts: you’re comfortable defining hypotheses and metrics, scoping tests, and working with Data partners to interpret results and decide next steps.
- Data-driven but not data-paralyzed - you know how to ask the right questions, partner with analysts, and turn insights into action, even if you’re not writing SQL yourself.
- Demonstrated ability to work end-to-end: from problem framing and opportunity sizing through spec, execution, launch, and iteration.
- Strong product sense and user empathy, especially for consumer shopping journeys and decision-making.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; can clearly articulate trade-offs and influence cross-functional partners and leadership.
- Experience working in early-stage or growth-stage environments where ambiguity is the norm and you’re comfortable rolling up your sleeves.
Bonus points
- Experience working on consumer ecommerce, marketplaces, or fashion verticals.
- Experience running end-to-end user research and interviews independently
- Experience collaborating with globally distributed teams across time zones.
- Fluency in Mandarin a plus
Why this role is unique
- You’ll be the
sole PM owner
for ModeSens’ shopping experience & surfaces - the core experience most users see – with a direct line to both the Head of Product and CEO.
- You’ll have a rare opportunity to shape how a global, multi-retailer shopping assistant helps users “always get the best price” and becomes a habit before every purchase.
- You’ll work at the intersection of
user value and business value
- balancing growth, engagement, and e-commerce performance in a space where small UX changes can drive meaningful impact.
