About the Role

We are seeking a Founding Product Designer to join a fast-growing AI-driven startup building next-generation market research and insights platforms.

This is a high-impact, early-stage role where you will define the design vision, user experience, and product interface from the ground up, working closely with engineering and leadership teams. You will play a key role in shaping both the product and the future design organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and establish the product’s design language and UX strategy from scratch

• Lead design efforts across core product features, research workflows, and platform experiences

• Deliver high-quality UI/UX designs using Figma, ensuring a clean and modern aesthetic

• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and leadership teams

• Drive end-to-end design initiatives from concept to execution

• Advocate for user-centric design and improve overall product usability and experience

• Contribute to building and scaling the design function and team structure

• Act as a design leader and culture contributor within a fast-paced startup environment

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in 0→1 product design within early-stage/startup environments

• Strong portfolio showcasing clean, modern, and visually polished designs

• Expertise in Figma (advanced level)

• Strong understanding of interaction design and UX problem-solving

• Experience leading design initiatives or small teams (2+ years preferred)

• Excellent communication skills with ability to articulate design decisions clearly

• Strong collaboration skills across product, engineering, and business teams

• Willingness to work onsite in San Francisco or relocate immediately

Preferred Skills

• Experience designing AI, B2B, enterprise, or data-driven platforms

• Background in research workflows, analytics tools, or SaaS products

• Experience building scalable design systems in early-stage products

• Passion for working in high-growth, fast-paced startup environments
