Role summary

Nolla is seeking a Head of Product to lead the roadmap for its AI-driven consumer healthcare app. This role requires a seasoned product leader with experience in both consumer and AI products, comfortable defining strategy, prioritizing initiatives, and collaborating across engineering, design, and clinical teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of shipping consumer products with measurable engagement and retention, and a deep understanding of AI product development, including its limitations and regulatory considerations. This position offers a path to VP of Product and is based in New York City.

THE MISSION

Nolla is building an ecosystem of care for everyone. AI-driven healthcare that gives every person access to the kind of medicine that used to require a doctor in the family. We make this real through a consumer app that handles diagnosis, prescription, and treatment tracking end to end, with general primary care launching this summer. We're at the forefront of medical AI research and targeting peer-reviewed clinical publication. We raised a $4.5M seed from General Catalyst.

THE ROLE

We're looking for a product leader to own the roadmap across Nolla's consumer and AI products. The work spans both sides equally: the consumer experience that patients interact with every day, and the clinical AI systems that power diagnosis, treatment, and care routing. You'll work directly with the CEO, CTO, and founding team to define what we build, why we build it, and how we know it's working. This role has a path to VP of Product as Nolla scales.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

Consumer Product

  • Own the roadmap for Nolla Skin and NollaMD, from onboarding through retention and renewal
  • Translate patient research and outcome data into product decisions with clear hypotheses
  • Define the experience for new verticals (birth control, GLP-1, allergies) as they launch
  • Set the bar for product quality, speed, and polish across iOS and web

Clinical AI Product

  • Define requirements for the clinical AI layer: interview flows, treatment selection, safety guardrails, routing logic
  • Work with ML and engineering to translate clinical objectives into model and product specs
  • Own the feedback loop between patient outcomes and product iteration
  • Ensure clinical AI decisions are explainable, safe, and aligned with regulatory requirements

Strategy & Prioritization

  • Maintain a clear, sequenced roadmap across all products and verticals
  • Make hard tradeoffs between depth and breadth as the product portfolio expands
  • Define success metrics for every major initiative and own them through to outcomes

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Serve as the connective tissue between engineering, design, clinical, and operations
  • Run product reviews, sprint planning, and launch readiness across the team
  • Represent the product perspective in investor conversations and external partnerships

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You've led product at a consumer health or AI company and you're equally comfortable writing a product spec and interrogating a model eval. You have high taste and high velocity, strong opinions about what great looks like, and the discipline to ship it. You've worked on products that touch real users in high-stakes contexts where getting it wrong has consequences.

This isn't the right role if you prefer a clearly defined scope or need a large team before you can be effective.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years leading a product function
  • Experience shipping consumer products with real engagement and retention metrics
  • Comfort working on AI-powered products. You understand how models work and how to build around their limitations
  • Strong written communication. You write specs, memos, and decisions clearly
  • Experience in healthcare, regulated industries, or other high-stakes consumer contexts

Bonus Points

  • Background in clinical AI, digital health, or medical device product development
  • Experience launching vertical-specific products across multiple conditions or categories
  • Familiarity with FDA regulatory pathways or HIPAA-regulated product environments
  • Experience taking a product from seed stage through Series A and beyond

THE PROCESS

30-minute intro call, product conversation with the founding team, and a short written exercise based on a real product decision we've faced. First conversation to offer in two weeks.
