Northern Right Capital Management is a boutique US equity investment firm managing a concentrated, best ideas strategy in both a long-short and long-only format with strong track records in both products. Founded in 2015, the firm manages $450M in AUM with the 6-person team based in Darien, CT.

Role Description

We are seeking a Business Development professional to lead the firm’s Capital Raising and Investor Relations effort. The professional would be expected to utilize their existing relationship across PEF/Consultants/FO channels to raise capital alongside cultivating our existing prospect list.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining database and pipeline of prospective investors across all channels, conducting outreach, and advancing relationships. Drive the capital raise process from start to finish working closely with the PM
• Actively seeking to understand portfolio strategy and investments, with the ability to clearly articulate the underlying philosophy and thesis to investors through written and oral communication
• Maintaining existing marketing materials, DDQ and performance databases. Owning the Investor letter process including drafting alongside the Investment Team
• Understand Industry trends, competitors, allocator sentiment in order to update the marketing plan and outreach
• Working closely with firm Operations to provide recurring reporting to investors, both at the portfolio and individual investor level, and to maintain internal reporting records

Qualifications

• Relevant work experience: 5-7+ years of work experience including: Fund Raising/IR at HF or Asset Manager
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• A demonstrated history of successful selling of HF or LO products
• Unrelenting attention to detail, tenacious work ethic
• A good attitude. We are looking for someone who is hungry and humble
