Security Analyst

Duration: 6 months (Extension possible)
Location: Remote (Physically present in Canada + Work to be performed in EST Timezone)
We are looking for a hands-on Cybersecurity Analyst. This role focuses on monitoring, vulnerability assessment, security posture, and reporting. You will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating digital threats.
Responsibilities

• Run vulnerability scans. Analyze and prioritize findings
• Perform security posture checks and Risk Management
• Maintain evidence and documentation

Requirements

• 3+ Years handson experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst
• Experience with Identity Server configuration, setup (open source, COTS based)
• Hands-on scripting experience (Python, PowerShell, Linux, or Bash) for automating security checks
• Experience with cybersecurity tools and Zero Trust principles
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Cloud Infrastructure experience (One of either: Azure/AWS/GCP)
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail when investigating complex security logs
• Ability to communicate technical risks to non-technical stakeholders effectively
• Resilience and problem-solving capabilities under pressure during incident responses
• Strong communication skills
