Role summary
Omnifold is seeking a Head of Product Engineering to lead all product engineering functions, reporting to the CTO. This role involves full stack application development, infrastructure management, recruiting, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate has a strong Computer Science background, experience in enterprise SaaS, and expertise in full stack development and infrastructure (InfoSec, DevOps, distributed systems, SRE). Experience with AI-generated code, data-dense interfaces, LLM/ML interactions, and application security is preferred. The position is based in San Francisco and requires a track record of managing teams of 10-25.
Head of Product Engineering
Omnifold trains custom AI models that help planners forecast the future.
We are looking for a Head of Product Engineering, who will manage all of product engineering and report to the CTO. You will own full stack application development, infrastructure, recruiting, performance management, and collaboration with customer-facing teams.
What we’re looking for:
- Track record of success as an engineering manager or director (managing teams of 10-25)
- Experience at a Tier 1 growth stage enterprise SaaS company
- *Must have a strong Computer Science background*
(CS Degree, or developed & led a product with core computer science fundamentals e.g. compilers, search)
- Experience with full stack application development (leaning backend) and infrastructure (InfoSec, DevOps, distributed systems, SRE)
- A thoughtful approach to AI-generated code (capturing the upside while managing risks, see here for
thoughts on code review from one of our researchers
)
Useful but not required
:
- Combined experience with hands-on coding in addition to leadership duties
- Experience with:
- data-dense interfaces: dashboards, analytics products, planning tools
- features involving LLM or ML interactions
- application security
Location:
San Francisco (in-person, 5 days per week)
