
Product Lead
Role summary
ONEflight International seeks a Product Lead to be the primary product authority for their Book-a-Jet platform. This role focuses on owning the product backlog, prioritization, and delivery sequencing within a fast-paced, execution-driven environment. The Product Lead will ensure sprint readiness, translate business needs into actionable technical deliverables, and align cross-functional teams including Engineering, QA, and IT Support. Key responsibilities include backlog management, user story creation, and serving as a central point of contact for executive leadership and operational support. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of product management experience, a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies, and experience with APIs and data flow. Experience in the travel industry and with Azure DevOps is a plus.

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly driven and execution-focused
Product Lead
to serve as the primary Product authority across our platform.
This role is responsible for owning product backlog prioritization, delivery sequencing, sprint readiness, and cross-functional alignment between Business, Product, Engineering, QA, and IT Support.
The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, operates with a high degree of accountability, and is highly effective at translating loosely defined business needs into clear, actionable, and implementation-ready deliverables.
This individual will work closely with executive leadership, including direct collaboration with the CEO, while serving as a central point of coordination for product-related operational support and business critical initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership & Execution
- Own the product backlog, prioritization, and sequencing of all development work across the platform
- Maintain clear ownership and strategic consistency across platform priorities, product initiatives, and backlog direction
- Ensure all work entering a sprint meets defined
“Ready for Development” standards
, eliminating ambiguity and reducing rework
- Proactively clarify ambiguous or incomplete business requirements by asking targeted questions, defining scope boundaries, and aligning stakeholders before work enters the backlog
- Translate business needs and complex features into clear, incremental, implementation-ready user stories with precise acceptance criteria and minimal ambiguity
- Establish and maintain consistent standards for backlog quality, requirement clarity, and product delivery alignment across the platform
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner closely with the CEO and department heads to interpret and refine business requirements
- Partner closely with Engineering leadership, QA, IT Support, and Business stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities, sequencing, delivery objectives, and successful release outcomes
- Provide product leadership and decision-making guidance
throughout sprint ceremonies to ensure clarity, alignment, and forward progress
- Identify risks, gaps, and inefficiencies across Product, Engineering, and QA, and proactively address them
- Serve as a primary Product point of contact for the CEO regarding business-critical product questions, operational support needs, and high-priority initiatives
during and after business hours

- Confidently challenge unclear, conflicting, or low-value requests and drive alignment toward the highest-impact outcomes
Delivery Quality & Alignment
- Validate that delivered features meet defined business intent and acceptance criteria
- Maintain consistency in product decisions, avoiding fragmentation across the platform
- Ensure alignment across product areas to support a cohesive user experience and system behavior
- Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery processes, operational efficiency, and cross-functional alignment
Technical & Operational Support
- Act as the Product escalation authority for business-critical product issues requiring cross-functional coordination and resolution
- Serve as the primary Product point of contact for the IT Support team when product-related questions, workflow clarification, or business inquiries are escalated from end users
- Partner closely with IT Support to help triage, clarify, and prioritize product-related issues impacting business operations
- Maintain and manage backlog and sprint activity in Azure DevOps
- Support mobile application release processes
(Apple App Store & Google Play Store)
- Leverage technical understanding to bridge communication between business and engineering
First 90 Days Expectations
- Develop a strong understanding of the platform, business workflows, and existing product structure
- Establish strong working relationships across Product, Engineering, QA, IT Support, and Business stakeholders
- Assume primary ownership of backlog structure, prioritization, product readiness standards, and delivery alignment within the first 30–45 days while continuing to deepen platform and business knowledge
- Establish clear backlog prioritization, delivery expectations, and product alignment standards across teams
- Build strong relationships across Product, Engineering, QA, and Business
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience owning and delivering end-to-end product solutions
- Proven ability to
serve as the central Product authority
responsible for prioritization, product direction, and delivery alignment
- Strong ability to translate business requirements into
clear, actionable technical deliverables
- Deep understanding of the
software development lifecycle and agile methodologies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to take loosely defined business problems and independently drive them to clear, actionable product requirements
- Exceptional ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely, adapting messaging for business and technical audiences
Technical Expectations
- Strong understanding of
system workflows, APIs, and data flow across applications
- Ability to interpret technical constraints and translate them into product decisions
- Experience working closely with engineering teams in a
hands-on, delivery-focused capacity
Nice to Have
- Experience in travel or private air travel industry
- Experience with Azure DevOps (backlog management, sprint planning, tracking)
- Product Owner / Product Manager certification
Salary:
$130K – $150K (flexible based on experience)
