Role summary

Paramint LLC seeks a full-time, W2 contract UI/UX Designer for a 12-18 month engagement to design intuitive, accessible, and mobile-friendly experiences for RHY Connect, a platform supporting youth access to housing services. The role involves creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs, applying human-centered design principles, conducting usability testing, and ensuring WCAG 2.1 compliance. The position requires 5+ years of UI/UX design experience, a strong portfolio, proficiency in design tools like Figma or Adobe XD, and knowledge of accessibility standards. Experience in the public sector or with data-driven applications is desirable. The role is remote.

Job Type: Full-Time, Contract (W2 Only)
Contract Length: TBD (Estimated 12–18 months)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Work Model: Remote / Hybrid
Location: New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD), New York, NY

Job Description

Paramint LLC is seeking a UI/UX Designer to design intuitive, accessible, and mobile-friendly experiences for RHY Connect, a platform supporting youth access to housing services.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Prototyping

  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
  • Design mobile-responsive user interfaces

User Experience

  • Apply human-centered design principles
  • Conduct usability testing and user journey mapping

Accessibility & Standards

  • Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 standards
  • Maintain consistency with branding and design systems

Required Qualifications (Mandatory)

  • 5+ years of UI/UX design experience
  • Strong portfolio of web/mobile applications
  • Experience with design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, etc.)
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Public sector or nonprofit experience
  • Experience with data-driven or real-time applications
  • Familiarity with Power Platform
