Role summary

Precision Tech Corp is seeking an Azure Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure data services. The role involves building ETL/ELT workflows with Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics, developing data processing solutions with Azure Databricks and Apache Spark, and managing data in Azure Data Lake Storage. Responsibilities include data ingestion from various sources, optimizing pipelines for performance and cost, implementing data quality measures, developing data models, and ensuring data security and governance. The engineer will also work with SQL databases, automate deployments via CI/CD with Azure DevOps, and maintain documentation. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and participation in Agile/Scrum methodologies are expected.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure data services.
  • Build and manage ETL/ELT workflows using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Develop data processing solutions using Azure Databricks and Apache Spark.
  • Work with structured and unstructured data in Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS).
  • Perform data ingestion from multiple sources including APIs, databases, and flat files.
  • Optimize data pipelines for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements.
  • Implement data transformation and cleansing logic to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Develop and maintain data models for analytics and reporting.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows and production issues.
  • Implement security, governance, and compliance policies across data platforms.
  • Work with SQL databases including Azure SQL Database and SQL Server.
  • Automate deployment using CI/CD pipelines with tools like Azure DevOps.
  • Maintain documentation for data architecture, pipelines, and processes.
  • Support real-time and batch data processing solutions.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
