Position Description
Prime Solutions Group (PSG) is looking for an Associate Software / DevOps Engineer to join our growing team in Goodyear, AZ. This is an entry-level role designed for recent graduates or early-career engineers who are excited to learn, build, and grow in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
You’ll work alongside experienced engineers to help build and maintain modern software pipelines, cloud-based infrastructure, and automation tools that support critical national security systems. What You’ll Do:
- Help build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (automated build, test, and deployment systems)
- Work with tools like Git, Docker, and Jenkins/GitLab to support software delivery
- Assist with automation and scripting (Python, Bash) to improve workflows
- Learn and support Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
- Collaborate with software engineers to improve development and deployment processes
- Participate in Agile/Scrum team meetings, sprint planning, and standups
- Monitor builds and deployments, troubleshoot issues, and suggest improvements
- Document your work and contribute to team knowledge sharing
Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship (required for clearance eligibility)
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance with SCI and CI Polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field
- 0–2 years of experience (internships and projects count!)
- Basic understanding of: Linux command line, Programming or scripting (Bash, Python, or similar), Git/version control, and Software development or DevOps concepts
- A strong willingness to learn, ask questions, and grow
- Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills
Nice to Have (But Not Required)
- Internship, lab, or personal project experience in software or DevOps
- Exposure to tools like: Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Helm, Ansible, Terraform, or similar automation frameworks
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Interest in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.)

Salary Description
Salary range starts at $75,000, with the potential for higher compensation based on experience, skills, and mission needs.
