Role summary

Procore is seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead the Procore Connect product strategy, vision, and execution. This role involves deep customer engagement, cross-functional leadership, and technical understanding of distributed systems and APIs. The Principal PM will be responsible for driving product adoption, defining success metrics, and evolving the Connect platform, including AI integrations. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of SaaS product management experience, a strong technical and AI fluency, and excels at managing complexity and communicating with diverse stakeholders. This is a highly visible, impactful role based in Austin, TX, reporting to the Director of Product.

We’re looking for a
Principal Product Manager
to discover, clarify, evangelize, and build winning products for Procore Connect. As a Principal PM, you will serve as the product expert for our strategy, setting a vision that enables seamless collaboration across the entire construction ecosystem. Internally and externally, you will represent this critical product area—leading, inspiring, and driving confidence in everyone from Procore’s executive team to our largest global customers.
The Procore Connect team is at the heart of our platform strategy. Our mission is to streamline the movement of information and seamless data sharing across construction projects on every tool as well as across different systems. This is a highly visible and impactful team where you will lead technically complex, cross-functional initiatives that sit at the core of how work operates across the Procore platform.
This position reports to the Director of Product and will be based in our Austin, TX office.

What You’ll Do:

  • Strategic Leadership: Serve as the product leader across multiple cross-functional development teams, developing and evangelizing a long-term strategy for Procore Connect.
  • Customer Insights: Partner directly with customers and internal teams to understand complex use cases, validate requirements, and translate insights into product improvements. Believe in the philosophy that your work isn’t done until it's adopted by customers and internal teams.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build trust and alignment through clear documentation and structured updates, partnering with engineering leads, designers, and executives to balance platform priorities with product-specific needs.
  • Data-Driven Execution: Partner with analytics teams to define metrics and dashboards that measure success, connecting operational performance to customer outcomes like efficiency and adoption.
  • Platform Evolution: Lead the evolution of Connect, including connectivity architecture, ensuring it remains scalable, configurable, and deeply integrated with key platform services like directory, permissions, and notifications.
  • Connect Automation: Deliver configurable capabilities that allow customers to collaborate with other stakeholders on all construction project processes like drawings, RFIs, Submittals, Financials etc
  • Industry Representation: Lead speaking engagements at industry events and trade shows to represent Procore’s vision for a connected construction industry.
  • At Procore, AI isn’t a specialized tool, it's a core competency. We expect every team member to be AI-literate, leveraging generative tools and agentic workflows to move faster and work smarter. You won’t just use AI; you’ll be building the agentic future of construction.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in Product Management at a SaaS company, with a proven track record of taking complex features from conception through global adoption.
  • AI Fluency: A proven understanding of using AI products like v0, Cursor, Claude (UI and CLI) to build prototypes, documentation, synthesis at every turn to clarify the product.
  • Technical Fluency: A deep understanding of how distributed systems, APIs, and data models connect to enable scalable orchestration across a platform.
  • Systems Thinking: Ability to identify dependencies and align technical and business priorities across product boundaries.
  • Outcome-Oriented: A focus on delivering outcomes over outputs, employing a data-informed decision-making process to drive strategy.
  • Complexity Management: Excellence in bringing clarity to ambiguity, defining structure and sequencing for large-scale modernization and migration initiatives.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft high-quality multi-modal PRDs and communicate architectural trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Additional Information
Base Pay Range:
198,240.00 - 272,580.00 USD Annual
This role may also be eligible for Equity Compensation and/or Bonus Incentive Compensation. Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.
