QA Automation Engineer
Role summary
The QA Automation Engineer will design and execute automated tests for the System Contract Operating and Reporting application, part of an initiative to enhance agency contract management, monitoring, and compliance. This contractor role involves creating and maintaining automated and manual test scripts using technologies like Playwright, performing manual testing, tracking execution, establishing automated schedules, logging defects in Jira, and developing traceability matrices. The position requires extensive experience in manual and automated testing, performance testing, and working within an Agile/Scrum environment. The role also includes supporting development teams across environments and potentially leading UAT.

Job Description
QA automation engineers design automated tests by creating scripts that run testing functions automatically. This includes determining the priority for test scenarios and creating execution plans to implement these scenarios. Designing documentation for automated processes.
Additional Job Details and Special Considerations
This QA Engineer Automated 3 contractor position performs Quality Assurance activities for an application for the (PCS) Contract Operations team. This application is part of an initiative to enhance and update the System Contract Operating and Reporting application to create a more robust and comprehensive system for agency contract management, monitoring, and compliance activities. This position is part of the Administrative Applications Software Quality Assurance team and is responsible for developing and maintaining automated test cases using Playwright or similar technology, and for developing and maintaining test scripts for both manual and automated testing. Perform manual testing as required. Track test case execution. Establish regular automated schedules for test cases and required reporting. Use Jira to log and track defects. Develop and maintain requirements traceability matrices. Must have experience working in an Agile environment. Support the development team as needed in dev, test, UAT, and production, and troubleshoot test cases as required. Lead UAT testing activities as needed. Available for on-call support as needed.

Minimum Requirements

Required Experience:
- 10 years of experience in manual test script execution.
- 8 years of experience in automated QA testing.
- 8 years of experience in QA test script creation.
- 8 years of experience in performance testing.
Preferred Experience:
- 5 years of experience in QA Automated Test Case Reporting.
- 3+ years of experience with JavaScript, HTML, Playwright, WebdriverIO, and JMeter.
- 3 years of experience in Agile, Scrum, Jira, XRay, or Zephyr methodologies.
- 3 years of experience in accessibility testing.
