Hardware Test Engineer

Proteus Industries is a liquid flow meter manufacturer looking for an experienced
Test Engineer
to join our team.
Our products are widely used by semiconductor equipment, automotive and other industrial customers. Note that this is NOT a software test position and applicants with purely software testing experience will NOT be considered.

Responsibilities will include:

• Validation and compliance testing of new and customized products
• Support analysis of product failure in complex cases
• Perform experiments to support new product development
• Recommend improvements to product designs
• Develop testing plans and methods for flow instrumentation
• Design and build test stands and equipment, such as wiring up the I/Os on a NI DAQ
• Programming/DAQ experience, such as create a basic LabView program for logging data
• Work with outside specialty test laboratories, as necessary
• Document test results in accordance with our ISO-9001 & ISO 17025 procedures
• Schedule & track progress with project management software, such as TeamGantt.

You will have:

• At least

five

years

of hardware product test or related

experience in a manufacturing environment
- Broad familiarity with mechanical, electronic and firmware concepts
- A four year engineering degree
- Knowledge of statistical methods to analyze and interpret experimental results
- A stable work history
- Experience with
liquid flow or related instrumentation is a plus
- Good written and oral command of English
