Job Summary
We are hiring for one of our clients seeking a highly accomplished Lead Construction Project Manager to lead complex, large-scale construction projects. This role requires expertise in managing project lifecycles, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with strict regulatory, safety, and quality standards in highly regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full project lifecycle from planning through execution and completion
- Manage construction contracts and oversee EPC contractor performance
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Lead and mentor project management and engineering teams
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks proactively
- Review and approve contractor invoices and procurement documentation
- Monitor project progress and analyze performance metrics, including earned value
- Provide technical oversight for engineering and design activities
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and regulatory authorities
- Communicate project status, risks, and updates to senior leadership
Qualifications
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physical Science, or equivalent experience
- Experience:
10+ years of experience in construction, engineering, or large-scale project execution
- 5+ years of experience leading project teams
- Experience working in nuclear or other highly regulated environments
- Strong expertise in construction, procurement, and project risk management
- Advanced knowledge of cost engineering (estimation, control, and analysis)
- Proficiency in project planning, scheduling, and reporting
- Experience with project controls and performance monitoring
- Ability to obtain and maintain Q-level security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Active Q or Top Secret security clearance
- Master’s degree in a technical or business-related discipline
- Six Sigma or equivalent certification
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification
Additional Requirements
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Must meet applicable employment eligibility requirements
- Willingness to undergo security clearance and periodic reinvestigations
- Participation in random drug testing programs as required
