Role summary

Seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of Senior iOS and Android engineers focused on sustaining and enhancing existing mobile applications. This hands-on leadership role requires balancing technical guidance, team management, and operational excellence to ensure the stability, quality, and continuous improvement of production mobile apps within a regulated industry. Responsibilities include leading and mentoring engineers, overseeing bug fixes and performance improvements, managing production stability, prioritizing backlogs, driving best practices in code quality and testing, and establishing CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate has a strong mobile development background, experience managing production support teams, and familiarity with App Store/Google Play Store deployment.

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of Senior
Mobile Engineers (iOS and Android) focused on sustaining and enhancing existing
mobile applications. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can balance technical
guidance, team leadership, and operational excellence while ensuring the stability,
quality, and continuous improvement of production mobile apps.

The ideal candidate will bring strong mobile expertise, experience in maintaining live
applications, and the ability to drive efficient execution in a fast-paced, cross-functional
environment- within a regulated industry.
Key Responsibilities
\* Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Senior iOS and Android engineers,
fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture
\* Oversee sustaining engineering activities, including bug fixes, performance
improvements, and minor feature enhancements
\* Own production stability, incident response, and root cause analysis for mobile
applications
\* Prioritize and manage backlog for sustaining work in collaboration with product,
QA, and support teams
\* Ensure timely delivery of patches, updates, and releases across App Store and
Google Play Store
\* Drive best practices in code quality, testing, and maintainability
\* Participate in architecture and design discussions to ensure long-term scalability
and reliability
\* Establish and improve CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and monitoring
strategies
\* Collaborate cross-functionally with regulatory, quality, and compliance teams (if
applicable)
\* Track and report on team performance, delivery metrics, and operational KPIs

Key Skills & Qualifications
\* Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
\* 8-12 years of software development experience, with 2-4 years in engineering
management or technical leadership roles
\* Strong background in mobile application development (iOS and/or Android)
\* Proven experience managing production support or sustaining engineering
teams
\* Experience with App Store and Google Play Store deployment, including
release management and compliance
\* Solid understanding of BLE integration and RESTful services
\* Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and quality engineering
practices
\* Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and grow senior engineers
\* Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills
\* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
\* Hands-on experience with both iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin/Java)
development
\* Experience in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, medical devices, fintech)
\* Familiarity with cross-platform frameworks (Xamarin, .NET MAUI)
\* Knowledge of secure coding practices and compliance standards
\* Experience with observability tools, crash analytics, and performance monitoring
(e.g., Firebase, Crashlytics)
