Role summary

Reddit is seeking an experienced Event Marketing Lead to join its Global Customer Marketing team. This role requires a strategic marketer and creative operator to drive impactful brand experiences and execute high-profile industry events. The ideal candidate will independently manage projects from concept to post-event analysis, collaborating closely with leadership and internal stakeholders. Responsibilities include end-to-end event planning, strategy development, project management, budget management, and vendor negotiations. The role requires 4+ years of experience in Event, Experiential, or Industry Marketing, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Experience with event operations and marketing tools is essential.

We’re looking for an experienced Event Marketing Lead to join Reddit’s Global Customer Marketing team. This role is ideal for a strategic marketer, brand storyteller and creative operator who thrives on building impactful brand experiences and executing high-profile industry events alongside Reddit’s business leaders.

The ideal candidate is equal parts visionary and executor — someone who can independently drive projects from concept through post-event analysis while navigating fast-moving priorities with creativity, precision, and strong cross-functional collaboration. This person will partner closely with Reddit leadership and internal stakeholders to ensure every event aligns with Reddit’s broader business objectives and brand values.

Reporting to: Head of Event Marketing & Industry Marketing ProgramsLocation: Remote (U.S.)

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of Reddit-owned and industry events, including strategy development, project management, production oversight, agency management, communications, onsite execution, and post-event reporting
  • Support major tentpole events and key industry moments, including initiatives such as Cannes Lions and Shoptalk
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with senior leadership and cross-functional partners across Sales, Marketing, Communications, Product, Finance, and Accounting. Exude confidence and clarity while communicating directly with these stakeholders.
  • Stay current on Reddit narratives and industry landscape to ensure all event experiences authentically reflect Reddit’s business priorities, messaging, and company values
  • Manage event budgets, forecasting, vendor negotiations, and contract execution in partnership with Finance and Accounting teams
  • Oversee timelines, workflows, and stakeholder communications across multiple concurrent projects
  • Travel as needed for site visits, onsite event management, and team collaboration

    • Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in Event Marketing, Experiential Marketing, and/or Industry Marketing. Experiential agency experience is a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously with exceptional organization, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and ability to bring clarity to ambiguity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative approach to stakeholder management
  • Experience contributing to creative development and providing thoughtful, actionable feedback to internal teams, agencies and partners
  • Expertise in event operations and marketing tools, including project management platforms, RSVP systems, and meeting management technology. Experience with Jiffle and Splash is a plus.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong cross-functional alignment

    In addition to base salary, this job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units, and depending on the position offered, it may also be eligible to receive a commission. We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function, level, and country location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including, skills, depth of work experience and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below.

    The base salary range for this position is:
    $154,700—$216,000 USD
