- About the Opportunity:
The \*\*Senior Manual QA Engineer\*\* is a key individual contributor responsible for maintaining the reliability and integrity of systems within the organization''s ecosystem. This role advocates for quality with a detailed, methodical approach to clinical data testing, influencing continuous integration processes and mentoring team members to ensure a robust manual testing foundation.
- Responsibilities:
• Develop detailed, risk-based test plans and manual test cases for a complex SaaS platform by analyzing user requirements and design documents.
• Lead execution of functional, regression, and integration testing, document defects accurately, and provide comprehensive test summaries.
• Use SQL queries to analyze, manipulate, and validate test data.
• Assess the impact of software changes on platform performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Mentor QA Engineers to enhance team efficiency and testing depth.
• Coordinate information flow and maintain communication with Developers, Product Owners, and DevOps.
• Innovate and improve QA methodologies while ensuring adherence to development standards.
• Monitor and triage issues throughout the software development lifecycle and address high-priority bugs.
- Requirements:
• 8–10+ years of Quality Assurance experience, preferably in fast-paced startup environments, with experience scaling production systems.
• Proficient in leveraging Generative AI and LLM tools to support manual testing, including synthesizing product requirements and optimizing test coverage.
• Extensive experience testing cloud-native (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
• Expert-level SQL skills for data validation and backend integrity testing.
• Strong knowledge of black-box, white-box, non-functional, performance, accessibility, and security testing.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to perform root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication skills to translate technical issues into business impact and collaborate across teams.
• Adaptable self-starter capable of working across time zones and fostering a quality-focused culture.
• Experience with Quality and Test Management tools such as Jira and QASE.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and mitigate risks effectively.
• Familiarity with "shift-left" testing and transitioning towards automation-integrated workflows.
- Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• Salary range for this position is $119,000 to $141,000 per year.
• Individual pay is determined by work location, skills, experience, and education.
• Equity constitutes a significant portion of total compensation, with amounts communicated at the time of offer.
