RezLegal is a boutique law firm specializing in corporate, mergers and acquisitions, and healthcare law, based in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. We support our clients through complex transactions, while focusing on delivering a personalized level of service. Our clients include founders, closely held businesses, healthcare organizations, and private equity-backed companies across a variety of industries.

Our law firm is seeking a dynamic, seasoned professional to join our executive team as a Chief Operating Officer (COO). This is a unique opportunity to bring your leadership and strategic expertise to a thriving legal practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the firm's daily operations, managing budgets, and developing firm strategy to ensure the firm's financial growth and operational success.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Oversee the firm's day-to-day operational functions, ensuring all departments are working effectively and efficiently towards the firm's strategic goals.
• Develop and manage the firm's annual budget, cash position, compensation model, KPIs, financial forecasts, and various operational metrics.
• Prepare and issue timely monthly financial statements and regularly coordinate with the firm’s CPA.
• Collaborate with partners and other senior leaders to establish and execute strategic plans, aligning firm objectives with operational performance.
• Identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost savings, implementing changes as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations applicable to the firm's operations.
• Act as a key advisor to the firm's partners, providing insights and recommendations on improving firm performance and profitability.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Oversee recruiting, hiring, evaluation, and termination that aligns with firm’s culture and future development.
• Oversee legal technology software applications and strategy.
• Manage relationships with vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts to optimize service delivery and cost-effectiveness.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and dedication to client service.
• Prepare and present reporting materials and packets for partner meetings.

Qualifications Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, law, or related field required; advanced degree or CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior management role within a law firm or similar professional services organization.
• Proven experience in operational management, strategic planning, and budgeting.
• Strong understanding of the legal industry, including knowledge of law firm economics and financial management.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and inspire teams.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with partners, staff, and external stakeholders.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a strategic approach to overcoming challenges.
• Demonstrated ability to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• High level of business acumen, with a keen understanding of financial analysis and performance metrics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft M365 Office Suite and other business management software.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
