Role summary
Seeking a skilled and reliable Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Ellsworth, ME. The role involves inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical/mechanical systems, as well as performing preventive maintenance to ensure the safe and efficient operation of trucks and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will have proven experience, a strong eye for detail, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to quality workmanship and safety. A sufficient tool inventory is required. This is a full-time, onsite position.
We're looking for a skilled and reliable Diesel Mechanic to join our team. You'll be responsible for keeping our trucks and heavy equipment running safely and efficiently. The right person will have solid hands-on experience working on diesel engines and a good eye for spotting problems before they become bigger issues.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical, and mechanical systems
- Preform preventive maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation of vehicles and machinery
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and determine the most effective repair solutions
- Maintain accurate service records and ensure all work meets company and safety standards
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment technician
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety
- A tool inventory sufficient to perform assigned tasks
