Role summary
Seeking experienced DeltaV Automation Engineers for pharmaceutical clients in the RTP area. Engineers will collaborate with project and validation teams, provide advanced troubleshooting, and ensure solutions meet quality requirements. Experience with related technologies like Syncade, PROFINET, and biologics manufacturing operations is preferred. The role involves remote execution and coordination for complex project schedules.
Position Overview
We are seeking experienced
DeltaV Automation Engineers
to support pharmaceutical clients in the
RTP area
. This role involves independent execution of DeltaV configuration, including control modules (CM/EM), batch recipe development, and system integration. Engineers will work closely with project and validation teams to deliver robust, GMP-compliant automation solutions within aggressive project schedules.
Responsibilities
- Act as the senior technical lead for DeltaV Batch automation across multiple bioprocessing areas, including Upstream, Downstream, CIP, and related process/systems.
- Design, configure, and refine Emerson DeltaV (Batch) automation aligned with S88 principles and broader process automation standards.
- Support development and execution of control strategies, testing cycles, and documentation needed for compliant system delivery.
- Partner with engineering, operations, and project stakeholders within a remote execution model to keep deliverables aligned and on track.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and ensure automation deliverables meet cGMP and project quality requirements.
Qualifications
- Extensive background (7-15+ years) in biotech/pharma automation with deep expertise in DeltaV Batch.
- Strong exposure to technologies such as Emerson DeltaV, Syncade, PROFINET, S88/S95, PCS, I/O systems, PK Controllers, and distributed control platforms.
- Experience supporting automation for biologics manufacturing operations (Upstream/Downstream/CIP preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to guide technical workstreams, coordinate remotely, and support complex project schedules.
- Availability for a project spanning May 2026 through May 2027, with optional involvement in 2027 startup activities.
