Job Overview
We are seeking a Automation Engineer (DeltaV) to support automation projects and site operations for a leading pharmaceutical client. This is an entry-level, hands-on role focused on assisting with implementation, maintenance, and support of DeltaV-based Distributed Control Systems (DCS) in a GMP manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in configuring and supporting Emerson DeltaV DCS applications
- Support development of modules, basic S88 batch configurations, and recipe management
- Assist with programming tasks (function blocks, control strategies, basic logic)
- Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and routine maintenance activities
- Troubleshoot basic automation and process control issues with senior team guidance
- Ensure adherence to GMP, data integrity, and quality standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, QA, IT, Maintenance)
- Support vendors and system integrators during commissioning and integration activities
- Assist with OSI-PI historian support and data collection activities
- Contribute to continuous improvement and documentation efforts
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of Emerson DeltaV DCS or other DCS/PLC systems
- Knowledge of automation fundamentals and control systems
- Familiarity with S88 batch concepts (academic or internship exposure acceptable)
- Strong problem-solving and willingness to learn
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to Siemens PCS 7 or similar systems
- Basic knowledge of OSI-PI or data historians
- Internship or academic project experience in pharma, life sciences, or manufacturing
- Awareness of GMP or regulated environments
Experience
- 0–2 years
of experience in automation, controls engineering, or related field
- Recent graduates with relevant coursework or internship experience are encouraged to apply
