Position Overview

Safeway Tax is seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Business Data Analyst to join our onsite team in Irvine, California. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing business and marketing data, developing key performance indicators (KPIs), and delivering actionable insights that drive strategic decisions across all departments.

Key ResponsibilitiesData Analysis & Reporting

• Collect, clean, and organize data from multiple internal systems (CRM, marketing platforms, financial software, and operational databases).
• Analyze trends across sales, marketing, and business performance metrics.
• Design and maintain real-time dashboards and visual reports for management and departmental use.
• Produce regular reports tracking KPIs, performance metrics, and ROI for key initiatives.
• Identify inefficiencies, data gaps, and improvement opportunities within business operations.

KPI Development & Monitoring

• Define and implement measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) aligned with company goals.
• Track and evaluate performance metrics across departments, providing insights and alerts when metrics deviate from targets.
• Recommend refinements to KPIs to ensure ongoing accuracy and relevance to business objectives.

Business & Marketing Insights

• Analyze marketing campaign data (digital ads, email engagement, conversion rates, etc.) to evaluate performance and recommend improvements.
• Assess client acquisition, retention, and satisfaction trends to improve operational decision-making.
• Provide data-driven insights that guide business development, resource allocation, and strategic planning.
• Present findings to management in clear and visually engaging formats.

Systems & Data Tools

• Utilize Excel, Power BI, Google Data Studio, Tableau, or similar tools for data visualization and analysis.
• Maintain data consistency and integrity across all systems and platforms.
• Integrate data from various sources (CRM, Google Analytics, and internal software) for comprehensive analysis.
• Support the implementation of new tools or automation processes that improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.

Cross-Department Collaboration

• Work closely with operations, marketing, and finance teams to align analytics with business goals.
• Provide analytical support to leadership during performance reviews, planning sessions, and forecasting.
• Translate technical findings into actionable strategies for non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in financial, tax, or professional services industries.
• Knowledge of predictive modeling and data visualization best practices.
• Familiarity with data automation or integration tools.
• Basic understanding of marketing funnel analytics and lead generation performance.

Pay: $58,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
