Role summary
Sigma Defense is seeking a Software Engineer I to join their core team in developing and implementing computer-based products for military customers. The role involves supporting electronic warfare systems, working within a multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the full software development lifecycle from requirements and design to implementation, testing, and installation. The position requires proficiency in C++, Python, and Bash scripting on Linux, along with experience in version control (Git) and containerization technologies (Docker/Podman). A Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or computer science field is necessary, and candidates must be U.S. citizens eligible for a Secret clearance.

Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience with software engineering and the development using Git based tools.
- Proficiency with C++, Python, and Bash scripting in a Linux operating environment.
- Working knowledge of virtualization and containerization.
- Math or physics background desired.
- Interest and understanding of RF signals and radar technologies.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.

Personnel Clearance Level:
- Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret clearance or higher.

Job Responsibilities: (Not all-inclusive)
- Support programs related to electronic warfare systems.
- Work in a structured, multidisciplinary team environment.
- Development of requirements and design specifications.
- Implementation of developed system specifications, test plan, and procedure development.
- System testing and installation support.
Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000 annually
