Role summary

Soni's client is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Infrastructure & IaC Engineer to design, automate, and secure scalable cloud environments. The role requires deep AWS expertise, strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills, and a solid grasp of cloud security best practices. Key responsibilities include designing and deploying secure AWS infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and AWS CDK, automating provisioning with GitHub Actions and Jenkins, implementing security controls, integrating AWS security tools, configuring cloud networking, supporting CI/CD pipelines, leading technical projects, developing backup/DR/cost optimization strategies, and participating in an on-call rotation. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or 8-10+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years of hands-on AWS engineering experience, and expertise in IaC, Linux, and cloud security frameworks.

AWS Cloud Infrastructure & IaC Engineer
to design, automate, and secure scalable cloud environments. The ideal candidate has deep AWS expertise, strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills, and a solid grasp of cloud security best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and deploy secure, scalable AWS infrastructure using
Terraform, Ansible, and AWS CDK
- Automate provisioning/configuration with
GitHub Actions
and
Jenkins
- Implement and manage security controls (IAM, encryption, least privilege)
- Integrate AWS security tools such as
WAF, GuardDuty, Inspector, Security Hub, and FortiGate
- Configure and troubleshoot
cloud networking (VPNs, Transit Gateway, routing)
- Support
CI/CD pipelines
and collaborate with app dev teams (Java, Node.js, Python)
- Lead technical cloud projects and manage delivery timelines
- Develop
backup, DR, and cost optimization
strategies
- Participate in
on-call rotation
for security and production events

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s in IT or
8–10+ years of IT experience
- 5+ years of hands-on AWS
engineering experience
- Strong expertise in
IaC, Linux, and cloud security frameworks (CIS/NIST)
- Experience with
Windows Server, M365, and Entra ID
; Azure exposure a plus
- Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills
