Founding Senior Business Development Representative
Role summary
Speedy Labs, an AI-powered revenue management software company for distributors and manufacturers, seeks a Founding Senior Business Development Representative. This high-impact, founder-facing role involves owning outbound prospecting to generate qualified pipeline. Responsibilities include running outbound campaigns, conducting first-call qualifications, building outbound playbooks, and experimenting with new strategies. The ideal candidate has 2-4 years of BDR/SDR experience with a proven track record of exceeding quota and generating significant pipeline in B2B SaaS. Familiarity with distribution industries and CRMs like HubSpot is a plus. The role offers competitive compensation, milestone-based equity, and a clear path to Account Executive.
**The Role**\
You'll own outbound prospecting into distributors, manufacturers, and buying groups. This is a high-impact, founder-facing role with a clear path to AE and beyond.
**What you'll do:**
* Run outbound campaigns (cold calls, email, LinkedIn, door-to-door, conferences, webinars, etc.) to generate qualified pipeline
* Engage VP Finance/CFO, COO, President/Director of Marketing at manufacturers and distributors.
* Run first-call qualification (pain, process, data access, timing, champion, next steps) and only hand off meetings that meet our qualification bar
* Partner directly with founders and Director of sales to refine ICP and messaging
* Build and document outbound playbooks: ICP slices, triggers, messaging, objection handling, call openings, and sequence library
* Build the playbook; own the experiments; expand into new verticals.
**What we're looking for:**
* 2-4 years as a BDR/SDR with a track record of crushing quota
* $500K+ pipeline generated in past roles for B2B SaaS
* Experience in distribution, foodservice, retail, pharma, or CPG would be great, but not required
* You're already great at cold calling, not learning it
* Startup mentality: scrappy, resourceful, and iterates fast
* Familiarity with HubSpot or similar CRMs would be awesome
