Job Summary

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and program robotic automation systems using Fanuc robots and other industrial robotics platforms to streamline production workflows.
  • Integrate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS) to automate machinery and process controls effectively.
  • Create detailed schematics, blueprints, and AutoCAD drawings for automation projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on automation-related issues to identify underlying problems and implement corrective actions swiftly.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers to develop tooling solutions and optimize machining processes for automated equipment.
  • Perform system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of robotic cells and vision inspection systems to ensure operational excellence.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of automation systems, including schematics, control logic, and system manuals for future reference.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with robot programming, particularly with Fanuc or similar robotic systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) standards to ensure quality compliance.
  • Proficiency in programming languages relevant to automation such as ladder logic, structured text, or other PLC programming tools.
  • Hands-on experience with vision inspection systems and their integration into automated lines.
  • Knowledge of tooling design, machining processes, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and schematic reading is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis efficiently while maintaining safety standards across all operations.
