Full Stack Platform Engineer
Role summary
We are an early-stage technology company building a real-time simulation and rendering platform leveraging AI, deep learning, and photorealistic visualization. We are seeking a Full-Stack Platform Engineer to build and operate our internal ML pipeline platform. This role involves developing the web application, REST API, and operational dashboards for managing containerized GPU workloads, data artifacts, and AI agent sessions. You will work closely with ML engineers, diagnose pipeline issues, and have strong product instincts for internal tools. This is a full-time hybrid position in the San Francisco Bay Area or Los Angeles.
Full-Stack Platform Engineer
Location:
San Francisco Bay Area or Los Angeles, California
Work Style:
Hybrid, with regular in-person collaboration
About Us
We are a funded, early-stage technology company building a real-time simulation and rendering platform that combines multi-agent AI, deep learning, and photorealistic visualization. Our pipeline spans learned simulation models, physically-based rendering, and neural rendering for real-time output.
The team is small, backed by experienced investors, and led by repeat founders with multiple exits. If you want to build something that hasn't been built before, we'd like to talk.
What You'll Do
You'll build the internal platform our team uses to operate the entire ML pipeline — launching and monitoring containerized GPU workloads on cloud infrastructure, tracking every data artifact and its lineage, curating datasets with quality filtering, and managing AI agent sessions. You'll build the server-rendered web application, REST API, and operational dashboards that give the team full visibility and control across every stage of the pipeline.
You'll work closely with our ML engineers on the interface between the platform and the GPU workloads it orchestrates. When a job fails or data quality degrades, you're the person who diagnoses it.
What We're Looking For
- Experience building full-stack web applications with TypeScript, including server-side rendering.
- Experience building production applications on edge or serverless infrastructure (Cloudflare Workers, Vercel, Fly, or similar).
- Experience building job orchestration systems that launch, monitor, and manage containerized workloads on cloud GPU infrastructure.
- Comfort designing data models that span heterogeneous resource types with metadata, relationships, and provenance tracking.
- Enough ML pipeline literacy to debug failures at the boundary between the platform and the GPU workloads it orchestrates.
- Strong product instincts for internal tools.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Cloudflare Workers, D1, R2, and Durable Objects.
- Experience with Astro.
- Experience with Nebius or similar GPU cloud providers.
- Familiarity with provenance tracking or data lineage systems.
- Experience building systems that orchestrate AI agent sessions (tool-use loops, transcript capture, pause/resume).
- Background in video or media processing pipelines.
Additional Information
This is a full-time position with salary and meaningful equity. You'll be one of the first engineers at the company.
