An affiliate of the Airbus Group of Companies, STELIA is an aerospace and defence company specializing in the design, development, and manufacturing of composite components and assemblies. Headquartered in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, and with a site in Mirabel, Quebec, we operate in more than 150,000 sq feet of facilities dedicated to operations, manufacturing and administration.
The HR Generalist plays a key role in attracting, hiring, and retaining talent to support the growth and operational success of Stelia North America. This role is responsible for leading full-cycle recruitment while also supporting broader HR functions, including onboarding, employee relations, and workforce development. A strong emphasis is placed on proactive sourcing, employer branding, and building sustainable talent pipelines to ensure the organization has access to the skilled people it needs today and in the future.
In this role you will:
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for hourly and salaried roles across manufacturing, engineering, and corporate functions
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and provide guidance throughout the hiring process
- Develop and execute role-specific sourcing strategies, including proactive outreach to both active and passive candidates
- Build and maintain talent pipelines through relationships with candidates, alumni, educational institutions, and community partners
- Develop job postings and recruitment marketing materials that effectively communicate the company’s employer value proposition
- Support employer branding initiatives, including events, partnerships, and digital channels
- Manage all stages of the recruitment process, including screening, interviewing, assessments, offers, and onboarding coordination
- Leverage social media and digital platforms to engage candidates and promote the employer brand
- Track, analyze, and report on recruitment metrics to improve processes and inform workforce planning
- Coach and support hiring managers to enable effective, timely, and equitable hiring decisions.
- Support employer-led immigration programs, including the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP), and related recruitment compliance activities
- Support employee onboarding and orientation processes to ensure a strong employee experience
- Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Assist with employee relations matters, including investigations and conflict resolution
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
- Support performance management and employee development processes
- Support learning and development initiatives by coordinating training and contributing to employee skill development
- Contribute to employee engagement, retention, and workforce planning initiatives
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment standards and company policies
You have:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3–5 years of HR experience, with a strong emphasis on talent acquisition
- Experience recruiting in manufacturing, aerospace, or high-volume environments is an asset
- Strong sourcing capabilities across multiple channels, including social media, job boards, and referrals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency with HRIS and applicant tracking systems
- CPHR (or equivalent) designation is an asset
