Position Summary

The Senior Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in supporting day-to-day human resources operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a positive employee experience. This position is responsible for payroll processing, benefits administration, HRIS management, reporting, and serving as a primary point of contact for employee and manager inquiries. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple HR functions with a strong understanding of compliance and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Administration

  • Process bi-weekly payroll using UKG, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Administer monthly bonus payouts, including validation and proper taxation
  • Manage employee garnishments, deductions, and related data entry
  • Audit payroll data regularly to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements
  • Partner with Finance to resolve discrepancies and ensure proper reporting

Benefits Administration

  • Coordinate and process monthly benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations with carriers
  • Ensure accurate integration of benefits data into payroll systems
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee benefits inquiries
  • Assist with open enrollment and benefits communications
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with applicable regulations

HRIS Administration

  • Maintain and update employee data within HRIS (UKG), including hires, changes, and terminations
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all HR systems
  • Generate and analyze HRIS data as needed for reporting and audits
  • Support system improvements, implementations, and process enhancements

Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly internal HR reports
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of required state and federal reporting
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable labor laws and reporting requirements
  • Support audits and provide documentation as needed

Employee Relations & HR Support

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee and manager inquiries
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Administer and support the company’s corrective action and disciplinary processes
  • Escalate complex employee relations issues as appropriate
  • Promote a positive and compliant workplace environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, including payroll and benefits administration
  • Hands-on experience with UKG (or similar HRIS/payroll systems) strongly preferred
  • HR certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of payroll practices, employment laws, and HR compliance
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
