About The Role
The Health Data Analyst at Prime Therapeutics plays a crucial role in analyzing pharmacy benefit data to support organizational objectives and improve benefit performance. This remote position involves providing insights, developing analytical models, and creating reports that inform strategic decision-making. The analyst collaborates with internal teams and external stakeholders to interpret complex data, investigate key drivers of benefit utilization, and recommend actionable improvements. The role also includes participation in the development of new products, benefit programs, and analytical methodologies aligned with Prime’s strategic imperatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to communicate complex findings effectively across various audiences. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in pharmacy benefits management, reporting & analytics, healthcare, benefits consulting, or related fields
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formula creation and data manipulation
  • Intermediate troubleshooting skills with the ability to research and identify data drivers
  • Strong knowledge of the PBM industry, key metrics, and industry trends
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence at all organizational levels

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret client pharmacy benefit data, trends, and reports to provide insights and recommendations
  • Partner with the analytics team to develop and deliver reports, models, and analytical products
  • Create complex queries using SAS EG, including multiple table joins and detailed formulas
  • Investigate key drivers of benefit performance and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Participate in the development of new analytic methodologies, reports, and products aligned with organizational strategies
  • Support CMS reporting and analysis, including management of directories and bid support
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Assist in ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned
