About The Role
Airbus Commercial is seeking a highly motivated HR Data Analyst (Contract) to join our team in Herndon, Virginia. In this role, you will be instrumental in transforming HR data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making. You will collaborate with stakeholders across departments to design analytical methodologies, perform data extraction and exploration, and develop comprehensive dashboards and reports. Your expertise in advanced analytics, machine learning, and data visualization tools will enable you to tell compelling data-driven stories that influence business outcomes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the digital transformation of HR functions within a global aerospace leader, leveraging your analytical skills to enhance employee experience and operational efficiency.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science/Analytics, Applied Sciences, Engineering, or a related quant-focused field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience with SQL and Python.
  • Practical experience applying analytical tools such as Tableau, SQL, Alteryx, and Python in a business environment.
  • Knowledge of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data formats (XML, JSON, etc.).
  • Experience working with databases, data models, and data warehouse concepts.
  • Familiarity with basic machine learning techniques and algorithms.
  • Certifications in Data Engineering, such as Google Cloud Certified Professional Data Engineer, are a plus.
  • Authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in collecting, cleaning, and transforming data from multiple sources to ensure data quality and consistency.
  • Perform large-scale data analysis using statistical and mathematical methods to derive meaningful business insights.
  • Identify actionable insights and develop recommendations to influence HR strategies and decisions.
  • Design and support the development of data visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate findings.
  • Utilize data analytics tools such as Python, Alteryx, Tableau, and Skywise for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
  • Write and execute complex data queries using SQL, Python, or other programming languages.
  • Document data processes, methodologies, and findings for transparency and future reference.
  • Communicate analysis results and strategic recommendations clearly to stakeholders across various teams.
  • Collaborate with fellow data analysts and team members on ongoing data projects.
  • Learn and adopt new data technologies, tools, and best practices to enhance analytical capabilities.
  • Work with semi-structured and unstructured data sets, assembling large and complex data collections aligned with business needs.
  • Develop, test, and deploy machine learning models to support HR initiatives.
  • Conduct business data analysis to identify key facts and provide strategic insights in accordance with Airbus standards.
