About The Role
At Dandy, we have established ourselves as a leading digital-first manufacturer of custom dental appliances over the past three years. As we scale our operations, we are building a world-class Machine Learning & Computer Vision team to enhance our 3D dental platform and automate various human-driven manufacturing processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI and computer vision technologies, including 3D geometric computer vision, generative deep learning, and state-of-the-art machine learning methods. The successful candidate will be instrumental in laying the foundation for the team’s success, establishing best practices, and solving complex, industry-wide problems that have never been addressed before. Qualifications
- 1+ year of machine learning experience or recent Master’s degree graduate for Machine Learning Engineer I
- 2+ years of machine learning experience or recent PhD graduate for Machine Learning Engineer II
- Proficiency in Python programming language
- Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow frameworks
- Impeccable attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality code and results
- Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields
- Experience with state-of-the-art 2D deep learning techniques; experience with 3D deep learning is a plus
- Knowledge of 3D geometric computer vision is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Design and develop machine learning models to interpret and extract meaningful structure from unstructured, information-dense 3D scans and sensory data in dentistry
- Research and implement state-of-the-art methods for 3D generative AI tasks and traditional computer vision challenges
- Collaborate with product and research teams to identify opportunities for product enhancements and new feature development
- Work with large-scale datasets to create both generic and application-specific models, including fine-tuning existing models for specialized tasks
- Develop robust evaluation metrics and validation techniques to ensure confidence in datasets and model outputs
- Implement and maintain best practices for MLOps pipelines to ensure scalable, reliable deployment of machine learning solutions
- Partner with product owners to deliver rapid value to customers by integrating AI solutions into the product pipeline
