About The Role
We are seeking a talented Frontend Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and enhancement of GiveCard’s user interfaces. This role involves building accessible, reliable, and engaging frontend features for both our administrative tools and the web applications used by cardholders. As a hands-on individual contributor, you will work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to translate ideas into polished, production-ready solutions.
This position is ideal for someone with a few years of professional frontend experience who is passionate about shipping impactful products, learning rapidly, and seeing their work directly benefit real users. We value a pragmatic approach to development—shipping iteratively, learning from user feedback, and continuously improving the product. You will have the opportunity to work remotely, with the flexibility to visit our offices in New York and San Francisco as preferred.
In this role, your contributions will directly influence the daily experiences of enterprises, nonprofits, governments, and individuals receiving financial aid. You will help ensure consistency and high quality across multiple platforms, including admin interfaces and user-facing web applications, fostering a user-centric and accessible environment for all users.
Qualifications

• 2–3 years of professional experience developing frontend applications
• Proficiency with Vue.js and TypeScript in production environments
• Strong understanding of modern frontend fundamentals, including component architecture, state management, and API integration
• Experience building responsive, user-friendly interfaces
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and backend engineers
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and quickly adapting to new systems
• Attention to detail and commitment to writing high-quality, maintainable code
• Genuine interest in developing technology that has a positive social impact

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship frontend features utilized daily by diverse user groups
• Ensure a consistent and high-quality user experience across admin tools and cardholder web applications
• Implement features iteratively, balancing speed and quality while incorporating real-world feedback
• Collaborate with designers and backend engineers to translate product ideas into functional, polished features
• Write clean, maintainable TypeScript and Vue code, adhering to best practices
• Uphold high standards for accessibility, usability, and performance to serve all users effectively
• Quickly learn GiveCard’s product and technology stack, taking increasing ownership of frontend components
• Proactively identify and resolve issues, driving continuous improvements in the frontend codebase
