About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our dynamic and agile development team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying scalable software applications across multiple digital channels. You will take an enterprise-wide architectural perspective, ensuring that solutions are robust, efficient, and aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in modern programming languages and cloud technologies, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software in fast-paced environments. As part of our team, you will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from initial idea generation and business analysis to technical design, coding, testing, and deployment. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to serve our customers effectively and innovate continuously.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field (required)
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in software design, analysis of algorithms, data structures, and building scalable, highly available systems
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, ACE, IIB/ITX, or Informatica (required)
  • Experience with two or more of the following: React, Angular v4+, NodeJS, NoSQL databases, HTML5, CSS, Google Cloud Platform, or Amazon Web Services (required)
  • Understanding of web services technologies including REST, HTTPS, and JSON (required)
  • Additional experience in Java, Python (Django/Flask), C/C++, C#, Objective C, or Go (preferred)
  • Experience in system architecture design, exploring technical feasibility, and optimizing solutions for both short-term and long-term goals (preferred)
  • Experience working within healthcare technology systems (preferred)
  • Ability to translate design mockups, prototypes, and user stories into functional applications (preferred)
  • Strong coding practices ensuring fault-tolerance, efficiency, and maintainability (preferred)
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices, including coding standards, unit testing, code reviews, source control, and build processes

Responsibilities

  • Design and create engineering specifications for software applications and programs in alignment with business needs
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code adhering to established coding standards
  • Perform code reviews to ensure quality, security, and best practices
  • Generate ideas, explore, and implement appropriate technical solutions to meet product requirements
  • Monitor technical processes against project plans, safeguarding functionality, scalability, and performance
  • Participate actively in all agile scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Assist in sprint planning, story creation, and task management using tools such as Jira or RTC
  • Communicate issues or blockers promptly to the Scrum Master and team members
  • Track progress against schedules, provide regular updates, and escalate issues as needed
  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering their technical growth and leadership skills
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the development team
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support project success and team objectives
