About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fullstack Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and reliable web applications that underpin our care orchestration platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, data scientists, and AI engineers to translate complex requirements into innovative technical solutions. Your expertise will help shape the architecture of our distributed systems, optimize database performance, and ensure seamless user experiences across clinical and administrative workflows. As a key member of our engineering culture, you will also provide technical mentorship, participate in code reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to uphold our standards of engineering excellence.
Qualifications

  • 8+ years of extensive hands-on experience in fullstack software engineering, with a focus on PHP development in large-scale, production environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Proficiency with PHP frameworks, especially Symfony, and ORM tools like Doctrine
  • Deep experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning
  • Strong understanding of building and maintaining applications within large distributed systems architectures
  • Experience with container orchestration platforms, particularly Kubernetes
  • Expertise in front-end technologies including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with a focus on responsive and cross-browser compatible design
  • Proven ability to implement comprehensive testing strategies, including unit, integration, and functional testing
  • Experience providing technical leadership, mentorship, and strategic problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience leading software product or component vision and delivery plans

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable, reliable web applications and services using PHP, ensuring robust back-end logic and seamless front-end integration
  • Contribute to the architectural design of distributed systems, focusing on scalability, performance, security, and maintainability
  • Design, optimize, and manage relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity and efficient retrieval
  • Build responsive, user-friendly interfaces utilizing JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Twig for clinical and administrative workflows
  • Work with deployment tools and practices, including Kubernetes, to ensure continuous integration, delivery, and operational stability
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, AI engineers, and other engineering teams to translate complex requirements into technical solutions
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and conduct code reviews to uphold best practices in coding, testing, and system design
  • Implement comprehensive testing strategies to ensure high-quality and reliable software components
  • Participate in hiring processes and onboarding activities to grow a high-performing engineering team
