About The Role
We are currently seeking a talented mid-to-senior level copywriter to join our expanding in-house creative department. This role offers the flexibility of remote work across North America, with additional office locations in New York City, San Francisco, and Seattle. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with an art director to develop and execute compelling creative concepts across various channels, including brand campaigns, product marketing, advertising, web, social media, and events. Approximately 75% of your time will be dedicated to partnering with the art director to generate ideas and execute campaigns, while the remaining 25% will involve working independently on copy-centric projects such as product descriptions, web content, and editorial materials. This position involves hands-on creative ownership, meaning you will be responsible for conceptualizing campaigns, scripting videos, shaping brand voice, and establishing creative standards for a rapidly growing organization. We value proactive execution and expect our team members to independently deliver high-quality work without relying solely on templates or external guidance.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the art director to develop innovative creative concepts and campaigns from initial brief through final execution.
- Write across multiple formats, including advertising, branding, web content, product descriptions, video scripts, social media posts, email campaigns, and event materials.
- Concept comprehensive campaign ideas that encompass systems and messaging strategies applicable across various channels.
- Help define and evolve the brand voice and messaging to ensure consistency and impact.
- Contribute to the creation of creative presentations and pitch decks to support sales and marketing efforts.
- Work independently on copy-driven projects such as web content, product descriptions, and editorial pieces when not paired with an art director.
- Engage in constructive feedback exchanges to refine and improve creative work through iterative processes.
Qualifications
- 5-8 years of experience in copywriting, preferably with agency background.
- A diverse portfolio demonstrating both big conceptual ideas and refined craft across multiple formats.
- Proficiency in writing long-form and short-form content, from manifestos to social media posts.
- Experience collaborating within a creative team, especially in a writer/art director pairing.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Curiosity about visual storytelling, design, and art direction, with a focus on ideas beyond words.
- Experience in brand and product marketing is a plus.
