About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Automation-focused Quality Assurance Engineer II to join our Mobile team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality mobile applications that manage and control Hudl’s smart camera systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile app testing, automation, and a passion for quality assurance. You will be responsible for leading testing efforts, developing automation strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, Design, and Scrum to ensure our products meet the highest standards of reliability, performance, and user satisfaction. Your expertise will help streamline testing processes, identify potential issues proactively, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our mobile solutions, ultimately enabling coaches and athletes to automate their sports video workflows seamlessly.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Hands-on experience with automation testing for iOS and Android mobile applications.
- Strong understanding of the product lifecycle and testing methodologies.
- Proficiency in automation tools and frameworks related to mobile app testing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and analytically.
- Effective communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Experience with API testing and familiarity with contract testing concepts (preferred).
- Exposure to AI tools and test data generation techniques (preferred).
- Passion for sports, particularly American Football, is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead and own the testing efforts for mobile applications, ensuring thorough coverage and high standards.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, Design, and Scrum teams to define testing requirements and strategies.
- Identify, document, and track defects, working with teams to prioritize and resolve issues promptly.
- Evaluate and implement automation tools and frameworks aligned with development cycles.
- Participate in design discussions to influence product quality from early stages.
- Continuously improve testing processes, frameworks, and best practices.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging tools, and techniques to enhance testing capabilities.
