This role progresses through four levels of expertise, from assisting with foundational tasks to leading high-value projects and managing client relationships. The position requires proficiency in automation platforms, problem-solving, and collaboration, with increased responsibility and leadership at higher levels.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Participate in various aspects of automation projects, including programming, HMI
development, FAT, SAT, service, and documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to automation systems.
- Collaborate with team members, clients, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automation technologies and industry trends.
- Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation and project records.
- Adhere to company standards, policies, and safety protocols.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting equipment and working in industrial environments as required by project needs.
- Travel to client sites as needed for on-site support, installations, and project implementations (may include extended periods)
- Assist with foundational project tasks under supervision.
- Support troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts.
- Contribute to the proposal process by gathering information and supporting documentation.
- Demonstrate proficiency in at least one automation platform (e.g., Rockwell, Yokogawa).
- Apply basic project management skills to deliver on-time and within scope
- Take ownership of the proposal process, including solution design and pricing recommendations.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field.
- Basic understanding of industrial automation principles.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- 0-5 years of experience in industrial automation or related fields.
- Proficiency in at least one automation platform (e.g., Rockwell, Yokogawa).
- Demonstrated ability to manage smaller projects and meet deadlines.
