Founding Mobile Engineer (AI Platform)

Remote – United States | Full-Time

We are seeking a
Founding Mobile Engineer
to join an early-stage startup building a new
AI-powered consumer platform
. This is the
first technical hire
, responsible for leading the development of a
mobile-first application launching on both iOS and Android
.

You will work directly with the founder to design and build the platform from the ground up, shaping the
mobile architecture, product experience, and technical foundation
. You would have built such apps with millions of users globally (ideally)

What You’ll Work On

- Build and launch
mobile applications for iOS and Android
- Develop a high-quality
mobile-first user experience
- Integrate
AI-powered features and LLM-based assistants
- Design and build
backend APIs and cloud infrastructure
- Implement
personalization and recommendation systems
- Collaborate directly with the founder on product and architecture decisions

Required Skills

- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong
mobile application development experience
- Experience building apps using one or more of:
- Flutter
- React Native
- Swift / Kotlin
- Strong understanding of
mobile UI/UX performance and responsiveness
- Experience developing
REST APIs or backend services
- Experience with
cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Proficiency with
JavaScript / TypeScript or similar languages
- Strong understanding of
modern software architecture and system design

Preferred Experience

- Experience integrating
AI / LLM APIs
- Experience building
consumer mobile applications
- Experience working in
startup or early-stage environments
- Experience designing
personalization or recommendation systems
