Job Title: AWS Data Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with deep experience in AWS to design, build, and scale modern data infrastructure. This role will focus on developing robust data pipelines, optimizing data storage and access patterns, and enabling analytics across the organization. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building production-grade systems using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), AWS Glue, and Amazon Redshift.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using AWS services
- Develop and manage data ingestion and transformation processes using
AWS Glue
- Architect and optimize data warehouse solutions in
Amazon Redshift
, including schema design, performance tuning, and cost optimization
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation to provision and manage data infrastructure
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across pipelines and storage systems
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making
- Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows, ensuring reliability and performance in production environments
- Optimize data pipelines for efficiency, scalability, and cost within AWS

Required Qualifications

- 3+ years of experience in data engineering or related field
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly
AWS Glue
and
Amazon Redshift
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python preferred)
- Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines in a cloud environment
- Understanding of data modeling, warehousing concepts, and distributed systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with additional AWS services (S3, Lambda, Step Functions, Kinesis, etc.)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data platforms
  • Experience with data orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, etc.)
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices
  • Exposure to real-time or streaming data architectures
