Role summary

We are seeking a Lead AI Engineer to spearhead the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI/ML solutions. This hybrid role requires deep technical expertise in modern AI techniques, including generative AI, NLP, and computer vision, combined with strong leadership capabilities. You will architect scalable, cloud-native systems, provide technical mentorship to teams, and ensure adherence to MLOps and responsible AI best practices. The ideal candidate will translate business needs into impactful AI-driven solutions, driving innovation from concept to production.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Lead AI Engineer to drive the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI/ML solutions. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering, guiding teams to build scalable, production-grade systems while aligning AI initiatives with business objectives. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in modern AI techniques, strong leadership skills, and experience delivering impactful, end-to-end solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of end-to-end AI/ML solutions, from prototyping to production
  • Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance systems for real-time and large-scale applications
  • Develop and deploy cloud-native AI/ML systems using modern infrastructure and containerization technologies
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and data scientists, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define requirements and translate business needs into AI-driven solutions
  • Drive best practices across the ML lifecycle, including data preparation, model development, deployment, monitoring, and optimization
  • Guide the adoption of emerging AI technologies, including generative AI, natural language processing, and computer vision
  • Ensure systems adhere to best practices in data governance, security, and responsible AI
  • Communicate technical strategies, progress, and outcomes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Contribute to organizational strategy by aligning AI initiatives with broader business goals

Required Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent experience)
  • 8–10+ years of experience designing, building, and deploying production-scale AI/ML systems
  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience building production-grade applications
  • Expertise in machine learning, including experience with modern AI techniques such as generative AI, NLP, and/or computer vision
  • Experience with cloud platforms and scalable architecture patterns
  • Proven experience leading technical teams and mentoring engineers
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end ML lifecycle and MLOps best practices
  • Experience delivering projects from concept through deployment in alignment with business objectives
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas to diverse audiences
