Role summary
The Senior Product Manager at Disney Experiences will lead the strategic direction for digitally led initiatives within Festivals & Events (Commercial Growth) for Walt Disney World. This role focuses on delivering personalized content experiences via web and mobile applications, owning the platform roadmap, and driving commercial growth. The Product Manager will collaborate with various teams, utilize data-informed approaches, and practice hypothesis-driven development. Key responsibilities include defining product vision, managing backlogs, mentoring junior PMs, and building strong cross-functional relationships to enhance guest experiences and achieve business objectives.

The Senior Product Manager role is a member of the Technology team responsible for leading the strategic direction of digitally led initiatives within Disney Experiences. The team runs all aspects of product strategy, concept development, defining, and implementing these initiatives in collaboration with key team members and partners.
This position will be focused on Festivals & Events (Commercial Growth) for Walt Disney World, delivering industry-leading, personalized, timely, and relevant content experiences via web and mobile applications. They will work with the manager and senior manager to lead the overall WDW Festivals & Events platform roadmap, integration across products and capabilities, and long-term commercial growth program at scale. They will work closely with operations, design, analytics, development, and executive teams to bring products to market and develop and grow business opportunities for Disney Experiences. A successful candidate will be highly analytical, able to work effectively in a matrixed organization, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into high quality products and applications that Guests love!
What You Will Do
- Creates the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Festivals & Events (Commercial Growth) across functional product areas.
- End-to-end ownership, reporting to the manager, of WDW Festivals & Events platform, including iterative building, integration, maintenance, and improvement across digital products.
- Support digital teams in a data-informed way, using industry qualitative and quantitative research, documentation, reporting/analytics, project coordination, testing, and general coordination of feature launches/improvements.
- Actively practices a hypothesis-driven and test measurement approach, while staying tuned into marketing technology trends and new emerging technologies (including customer data platforms, A/B testing and experimentation, etc).
- Champions the role of Product Owner with writing user stories, backlog refinement and prioritization, and user acceptance testing. Works with development teams by ensuring they have a deep understanding of the product objectives and priority, and helping the teams translate the product concepts into user stories, epics, and other appropriate product documentation.
- Mentors and guides less-experienced Product Managers to strengthen the team through demonstration of standard practices and quality examples. Including training, documentation and legacy awareness continuity.
- Builds positive relationships with critical team members (fellow product managers, engineering, data, creative, pricing, revenue management, marketing, sales, operations, etc.) to build and lead scope expectations across product lines/destinations/brands within Disney Experience to ensure a detailed Guest experience across touch points and drive business strategy/prioritization.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years of established experience in business, agency, and or digital environments. Digital product management experience, delivering user experience for web and mobile applications
- Familiarity with analytics, data management platforms, collaborating with engineering teams and understanding biases in data
- Experienced Product Owner, leading development teams to deliver business value with input from many collaborators and partners
- Champion the digital experience, advocating on the Guest's and Cast’s behalf, and working meticulously to build outstanding experiences
- Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop project use cases
- Consistent track record of effective communication and collaboration with actionable results, plus the ability to build strong and sustainable relationships, influence decision making across all levels of the organization (business, executive, technical, creative)
- Experience identifying, defining, and addressing technical, user and business issues in a fast-paced organization, including getting “in the weeds” when needed and seeing the high-level picture to think strategically
- Able to build a high-level, polished presentation that can be presented to an executive audience with minimal oversight
- Experience with Agile software development methodology, including JIRA/Confluence tools
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required in relevant field of study
