Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role based in Toronto, ON, for a Quality Assurance Engineer. The role involves designing, developing, and executing test cases to ensure software quality. Responsibilities include conducting manual tests, performing software testing, and collaborating closely with developers to identify and resolve issues. The Quality Assurance Engineer will play a pivotal role in maintaining high-quality standards for the software powering Trajekt Sports’ advanced robotics technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute end-to-end test plans across firmware, hardware, vision, and web interfaces.
  • Perform integration testing across sensors, devices, APIs, and front-ends.
  • Reproduce, isolate, and document complex cross-system bugs.
  • Verify sensors, cameras, compute modules, and peripherals.
  • Develop automated test frameworks where applicable.
  • Build scripts for test orchestration, device control, and data validation.
  • Maintain test environments, CI integration, and regression suites.
  • Analyze logs, metrics, and telemetry for failures.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in Quality Assurance or Systems Testing.
  • Experience testing embedded systems or hardware-enabled products.
  • Familiarity with firmware testing and device communication protocols
  • Experience testing web applications and APIs.
  • Ability to debug using logs, command-line tools, and scripting.
  • Experience with Python, JavaScript, or similar scripting languages for testing and automation.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Preferred/Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience testing computer vision systems or ML-powered applications.
  • Familiarity with camera hardware, video pipelines, or image processing.
  • Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD testing pipelines.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks.
  • Exposure to Linux-based embedded systems.
  • Experience with network protocols and cloud-connected devices.
