Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Carrier Sales Representative located in Gainesville, GA. As a Carrier Sales Representative, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining carrier relationships, negotiating rates, and ensuring timely delivery of freight. Key responsibilities include identifying and onboarding carriers, managing carrier performance, tracking shipments, resolving transportation issues, and providing exceptional customer service. You will also contribute to the company’s profit goals by maximizing operational efficiency and cost management.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in logistics, freight brokerage, and carrier negotiation
- Strong customer service and relationship management skills
- Experience in shipment tracking and resolving transportation issues
- Capability to analyze and negotiate competitive carrier rates
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in using transportation management systems and related software
- Ability to work collaboratively within a high-performing sales team
- Preferred: Prior experience in the transportation or logistics industry
- Educational requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred
