
Test Engineer
Role summary
This Test Engineer role is responsible for executing conformity assessments to ensure the safety, quality, and performance of products. The position requires acting as a technical expert, defining testing bases and plans, analyzing test data, interpreting results, and preparing test reports. The role also involves coordinating with internal and external labs for testing support and potentially assisting sales with cost and capacity calculations. A university degree or equivalent experience, along with 2-3 years of professional experience and knowledge of U.S. and international regulatory standards, are required.

- Hardlines: Safety and quality testing for household goods, toys, furniture, sports equipment, tools, and DIY products.
- Electrical: Testing and certification of electrical and electronic products, from household appliances to industrial control systems.
- Solar & Commercial: Quality assurance and certification of photovoltaic modules, inverters, and commercial technical installations.
- Medical: Comprehensive testing and certification for medical devices, from diagnostic equipment to implants, including regulatory consulting.

## Compensation Data
The salary range for this position is $85,000-$100,000 and reflects factors such as years of experience, relevant expertise, and overall qualifications.

## Job Description
- Acts as technical expert within the project.
- Defines the testing basis, testing programs and plans.
- Analyses test data and interprets test results.
- Ensures that test results meet the requirements.
- Prepares test report.
- Communicates and coordinates with other internal and external labs for testing support if necessary.
- Might support sales in calculating costs and capacities.
- Might attend other external or internal events to provide technical expertise.
- Other duties as assigned.
## Education
University Degree in related field of study or equivalent work experience
## Experience & Further Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years of professional experience in related area.
- Experience using automated test tools.
- Knowledge of U.S. and international regulatory standards and approval requirements, including 61010-1, 62368-1, and 60335-1.
