Credit Manager – U.S. Bulk Transport, Inc.

U.S. Bulk Transport is seeking a Credit Manager to take ownership of credit risk, collections, and customer account management across a fast-paced transportation operation.

This role directly impacts cash flow, risk exposure, and overall profitability. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and confident working cross-functionally with operations and leadership.

What You’ll Do

• Evaluate and approve customer credit applications (D&B, Credit Safe, Equifax)

• Establish and monitor credit limits based on financial analysis

• Manage collections and follow up on past-due accounts

• Analyze financial statements and assess credit risk

• Negotiate payment terms and required documentation

• Partner with operations and internal teams to resolve account issues

• Handle bankruptcy cases (Chapter 7 & 11) and related processes

• Manage collections-related legal matters and escalations

• Maintain accurate credit files, aging reports, and account records

• Ensure compliance with company credit policies and procedures

What Success Looks Like

• Reduced DSO and improved cash flow

• Clean and well-managed aging

• Minimized bad debt and write-offs

• Strong balance between risk control and business growth

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5+ years of experience in credit and collections

• Strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills

• Confident communicator and negotiator

• Experience with bankruptcy processes (Chapter 7 & 11)

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

*Transportation, manufacturing, or high-volume transactional environment preferred*

Preferred Experience

• Background in trucking or logistics

• Experience with AS400 systems

• Knowledge of contract law, UCC filings, and personal guarantees
