A growing engineering team in Gilbert, Arizona, is seeking a detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance Engineer with a strong foundation in IT operations and modern test automation. This role involves designing and implementing automation frameworks using Playwright and the Page Object Model, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, and performing full-stack testing across desktop, mobile, and API modules. The engineer will collaborate with developers and product owners, manage defects in Github, and introduce quality metrics. Required skills include 3+ years of QA automation experience, proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, and expert knowledge of Playwright and Github. Experience with React, IT operations, Generative AI, and Figma are preferred.

About the RoleWe are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Gilbert, Arizona. In this role, you won't just be "checking boxes"—you will be a key architect of our quality standards.
The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in IT operations and has successfully transitioned into modern test automation. You will work closely with developers and product owners to transform complex business requirements into robust, automated test suites, ensuring our platforms are reliable, scalable, and user-friendly.
Key Responsibilities

  • Automation Framework Development: Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end automation frameworks using Playwright and the Page Object Model (POM).
  • Continuous Integration: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to shorten regression cycles and stabilize deployments.
  • Agile Collaboration: Participate in all Agile ceremonies, collaborating with Product Managers to define and refine acceptance criteria.
  • Full-Stack Testing: Perform functional, regression, and UI/UX validation across desktop, mobile, and API modules.
  • API Validation: Utilize tools (such as APIFOX or Postman) to verify cross-platform data exchange and reporting accuracy.
  • Quality Metrics & Documentation: Introduce and maintain quality metrics, test plans, and compliance-ready reports to support audit preparation and leadership decisions.
  • Defect Management: Direct the lifecycle of defect tracking in Github, performing trend analysis to proactively identify and mitigate systemic risks.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance with a heavy focus on automation.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Tools: Expert-level knowledge of Playwright, Github.
  • Methodology: Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum environments and the ability to operate within Waterfall project management where necessary.
  • Communication: Exceptional professional communication skills, with a proven ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders.

Preferred "Plus" Skills

  • React/React Native: Hands-on experience or familiarity with testing React-based mobile and web applications.
  • IT Operations Background: Previous experience in technical support or end-user support is highly valued.
  • Generative AI: Interest or certification in Prompt Engineering and Generative AI applications.
  • Design Tools: Experience with Figma for UI/UX validation and consistency checks.
