Sign up to see compensation estimateAs part of our Production team, the Motion Designer is pivotal in creating engaging video content and assets for diverse media platforms including social media, mobile, and other emerging channels. As a Motion Designer, you’ll team up with various members of our creative, production, and project management teams to deliver high quality work. You’ll work on a mix of projects, from quick-turn digital ads to longer-form videos that require an editing approach as well as animation. The role involves crafting and producing animations and videos from concept to completion, while ensuring quality and consistency throughout the design process. A clear understanding of our processes and protocols will be necessary, along with occasional interactions with client stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the conceptualization and creation of motion graphic prototypes, mockups, and videos.
- Collaborate with the creative and production teams in editing and integrating motion content.
- Short-form digital advertising content - bringing storyboards to final output as well as resizing for various social platforms and different video lengths
- Longer-form video pieces in a single format that require more in-depth editing and storytelling
- Rationalize your creative choices effectively.
- Stay updated with current motion design trends.
- Assist in video footage editing and adding effects/elements to enhance motion graphics.
- Support and learn from senior-level colleagues.
Skills and Proficiencies
- 5+ years of motion design experience.
- A portfolio showcasing relevant work.
- Ability to convert ideas into workable solutions.
- Strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and file organization.
- Proficient with current motion design and related tools, particularly Adobe Creative Cloud (After Effects, Premiere Pro).
- Basic problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Awareness of various social media platforms and their video content requirements.
- Understanding of typography, color theory, textures, light effects, and graphic design.
- Comfort presenting ideas internally with a strong grasp of animation principles.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience working in an agency setting.
