Role summary

Wingmate Inc. is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to take ownership of platform quality. This role involves creating and executing test plans (manual and exploratory), identifying risks, and improving QA processes. You will collaborate closely with engineering and product teams, validate releases, and ensure a high standard of quality. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of QA experience, strong critical thinking skills, and an ownership mindset. Experience with test automation, APIs, and SaaS platforms is a plus. This is a full-time, remote position offering significant impact and direct access to leadership.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior QA Engineer to own quality across our platform. This is not just test execution, you’ll be responsible for identifying gaps, improving processes, and ensuring releases meet a high standard.

You’ll work closely with engineering, product, and leadership to drive quality forward.

What You’ll Do

  • Own QA for features from planning through release
  • Create and execute test plans (manual + exploratory)
  • Identify edge cases, regressions, and system risks
  • Improve QA processes and coverage across the team
  • Work directly with developers to resolve issues quickly
  • Validate production releases and hotfixes

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of QA experience
  • Strong experience with manual and exploratory testing
  • Ability to think critically and find edge cases
  • Experience working in fast-moving product teams
  • Strong communication and ownership mindset
  • Comfortable working without rigid structure

Nice to Have

  • Experience with test automation frameworks
  • Experience with APIs and backend validation
  • Familiarity with tools like Cypress, Postman, or similar
  • Experience with SaaS platforms
